Ashlu is a charming six-storey, mixed-use building in Squamish featuring 67 rental homes and ground-level retail. Ashlu takes inspiration from Squamish's industrial history and modern progress, blending rugged charm with contemporary wood frame construction. The building is perched on a concrete foundation with above-grade parking to handle Squamish's high water table. All residences feature clerestory windows and private patios or balconies. A two-storey amenity space contains a spacious lounge, well-equipped communal kitchen, dining area, and a co-working lounge. A large rooftop terrace and communal barbecue area feature expansive views. Ashlu also features secure bike storage and a bike repair station. Sustainability is emphasized at Ashlu with solar panels that offset carbon emissions and a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) system that provides residents with continuous fresh-air circulation and reduces allergens.
